Daniel Karlsson | Managing Partner
Daniel Karlsson is the founder and Managing Director of Asia Perspective. He has over 20 years of Management Consulting experience, focusing on Supply Chain Management, Procurement as well as in Growth Strategy Engagements in emerging markets.
Before founding Asia Perspective in 2010, Daniel held the position as Managing Director of Applied Value’s Shanghai office, an office which he started in 2005.
Daniel holds an MBA from the University of Tampa, US, and a BA from the University of South Florida, US. Apart from Asia Perspective, Daniel also serves as a board member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China as well as Procuris Solutions.
Alexander Ocieczek | Partner
Alexander Ocieczek is based between Stockholm and Shanghai, heading Asia Perspective’s operations as well as legal matters.
He is also in charge of the company’s venture investments. Alexander has been with Asia Perspective since 2015 and has extensive experience in supporting clients across all of China and South East Asia, as well as in a multitude of different projects ranging from market strategy and business expansion to financing and reorganization. Alexander is a board member in multiple growth companies.
Alexander holds an LL.M in Law from Stockholm University, and a B.Sc in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics.
Sam Li | Partner
Sam Li joined as partner in 2018 and is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s operations in China.
He brings with him over 20 years’ experience leading and advising organizations, and has acquired extensive hands-on experience in market expansion, cross border negotiation and JV formation, corporate strategy, M&A due diligence and operational improvement. Before joining Asia Perspective, Sam held the position of Managing Director for Mideaux Power Technology. He has also held several leadership positions including General Manager of business unit, and Sales and Marketing Director at SKF Group China.
Sam holds an MBA from BI Norwegian Business School, as well as a BS in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation from East China University of Science and Technology.
Johan Annell | Partner
Johan joined as Partner in 2021, and is based in Beijing.
Johan has a background from management consulting in the automotive industry, helping leaders in Europe and Asia on matters such as business transformation & re-structuring, strategic HR management, technology strategy and operations.
In China, Johan has worked with exports and establishing partnerships in the real estate sector, sustainable materials, industrial equipment, medical devices and industrial applications of internet of things. The experience includes market analysis, intellectual property, public relations and organizing business delegations.
Johan is fluent in Mandarin, which he started studying 2010, and has an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and a M.Sc. in Financial Economics from Gothenburg University.
Johan Hackman | Partner
A partner since 2014, Johan has led projects across a wide variety of industries such as machine building, FMCG, Retail, Automotive, High-tech and Med-tech.
He has supported global leaders in developing best-in-class solutions in projects such as supplier evaluation, benchmarking, operational due diligence, simulation of production sites, inventory management and design of global logistic networks.
Johan holds an M.Sc. In Economics from Åbo Akademi University in Finland and has also studied at the Chinese University of HK, National Taiwan Normal University, Central Institute of Nationalities Beijing and Pacific Asian Management Institute University of Hawaii.
Bobo Lin | Associate Partner
With more than 15 years of experience working for a European multinational and Chinese Fortune 500 company, Bobo has acquired a wide range of expertise from the various positions she has held, including procurement director, HR and administration manager and project manager.
Apart from overseeing critical roles within the organization, she has also been involved in several mergers and acquisitions from negotiation through to transition.
Having both studied and worked in the UK, Bobo is well versed in the different working practices between Asia and Europe, a skill that has been invaluable in coordinating with teams and facilities across the globe for low-cost country sourcing and supply chain management. This has also proven critical for navigating the challenges faced by foreign companies working within China and even local companies with regards to governmental regulations and relationships.
Bobo holds a master degree in accounting and finance from the University of Manchester and is a member of The Women’s Association, Jiangmen City, and the Hong Kong Zhongshan Youth Association, that actively encourage and promote entrepreneurial activities for women in business.
Luca Poggiaroni | Associate Partner
Luca Poggiaroni is based in Milan and is in charge of Asia Perspective’s business development in Italy. He has a diverse background with experience in both entrepreneurship and M&A.
Luca has more than 20 years of experience in an array of industries including food & beverage, FMCG and publishing. He joined Asia Perspective in 2022 coming from his previous position as a partner at Seta Capital, working with cross border transactions and strategic advisory involving China. Luca has a background as a successful entrepreneur who launched his first start-up at the age of 21 followed by multiple successful ventures in Italy and Brazil. He has extensive experience in managing cross-functional and multi-cultural teams, and speaks fluent Italian, English and Portuguese.
Luca holds an MBA from Bayes Business School (UK) and a Bachelor in History from Università Degli Studi di Milano.
Tuomas Lilleberg | Associate Partner
Tuomas joined Asia Perspective in 2022 and is based in Shanghai. Coming from his most recent position as Vice President of China & South Asia at Fibox, he brings with him over 20-year of experience from industries such as shipbuilding, oil & gas, machine-building, electrical components and HVAC.
Tuomas has spent a significant part of his professional career setting up companies and branch offices in various regions. He has particular experience in managing “red tape” issues as well as in cross-cultural management. Tuomas has been green-fielded and managed sales, operations and supply chains of several industrial manufacturing companies. His expertise spans areas such as supplier evaluation, supply chain efficiency, production efficiency, working capital reduction, sales strategy, and sales channel set-up, to name a few.
Tuomas holds an MSc. in Industrial Engineering and Economics degree from the Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland.
Clement Janin | CFO
Clement is vastly experienced in financial management. As Asia Perspective’s CFO he is managing the company’s financial operations, providing strategical support, FP&A, risk analysis and ensuring sound financial resources’ allocation.
Clement joined Asia Perspective in 2021 and brings over 20 years of cross-cultural regional financial management experience. He has spent most of his career between Asia and Europe and has strong expertise in financial reporting, investment analysis, restructuring, cost control and fund raising. He has worked in international firms, managing finance & accounting teams across several countries, and has worked with leading companies in Asia within the construction services, luxury goods manufacturing and food & beverage industry.
Clement holds a master’s degree in Management & Corporate Finance from KEDGE Business School Bordeaux, and has acquired his CPA in France.
Amit Bajpai | Senior Advisor
Amit joined Asia Perspective in 2021 to lead business activities and the establishment of Asia Perspective’s branch in India.
Amit has over 20 years of experience in business, operations and project management, and has held management positions in India, China and the USA. He has a vast experience in serving, leading and implementing manufacturing and industrial facilities in China and the USA, and managed several cross functional and multinational cost savings projects for a broad range of items.
Amit is fluent in Hindi and Chinese, and earned his Bachelor degree in Commerce and Economics at Osmania University.
Andreas Sigurdsson | Senior Advisor
Andreas Sigurdsson became one of the first foreign investors in Myanmar in 2012, and has stayed in the country ever since.
He is now the Managing Director of Asia Perspective’s Yangon office. He has extensive hands-on experience in supporting clients with their sourcing and market entry operations in Myanmar. Amongst other industries, he has been instrumental in supporting clients in entering the garment industry in Myanmar, and he also has extensive experience in Cleantech, Banking, Media, Retail and Manufacturing.
Andreas is fluent in Mandarin and has an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management as well as an M.Sc. in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.
Manwen Xiong | Senior Advisor
Manwen Xiong has more than 20 years of diverse experience in facilitating business deals between Sweden and China. She is based in Stockholm.
Manwen is a seasoned financial advisor with expertise in helping growth companies finding value-added investors and facilitating cross-border investments with China. She has facilitated investments and acquisitions in the hundreds of millions. Manwen also co-founded Nordic China Healthcare Solutions which supports Nordic healthcare companies with market entry and other business expansion in China. Earlier she worked for Ericsson in Beijing and was responsible for establishing and leading the sales team for Ericsson Interconnect solutions. She is an active private investor and Partner of the angel investor network STOAF.
Manwen Xiong has a master degree from Stockholm School of Economics. She speaks fluent Swedish, English and Mandarin.
